Botox Injections
What is Botox?
It is a type of bacteria that helps relax muscles when present in them. It is used for injecting areas with wrinkles or signs of aging. Its spread began in the early 19th century after the discovery of this type of bacteria, but it took a different path in medicine and started being used for cosmetic procedures and other medical treatments at the beginning of the 21st century.
Why Do We Use Botox Injections?
Many cosmetic doctors resort to Botox injections in the following cases:
- The appearance of facial wrinkles with aging, especially in the area between the eyebrows, where wrinkles appear in the shape of the number 111.
- Wrinkles on the sides of the eyes, which become very prominent when laughing or smiling.
- Non-surgical nose reshaping when surgery is unnecessary, with excellent results.
- Wrinkles on the neck, which create the appearance of a double chin that many find bothersome.
- Treatment of excessive sweating in the hands, feet, or underarms, enhancing self-confidence.
- Treatment of migraines, droopy eyes, and eyelid spasms.
- Treatment of cervical dystonia due to neck muscle contractions, which may affect movement or cause discomfort.
- Treatment of urinary incontinence caused by an overactive bladder, significantly alleviating symptoms.
- Reducing eye twitching and restoring normal eye muscle function.
