Breast Augmentation

It is well known that having larger breasts can increase women's confidence and make them feel more satisfied with their appearance.

Who is Breast Augmentation for?

Many women undergo breast augmentation to enhance their self-esteem and confidence by achieving fuller, more upright, and aesthetically pleasing breasts. Some women experience asymmetry in breast size due to significant weight loss, pregnancy, the impact of certain bras, genetic factors, or psychological concerns. Breast augmentation can help correct these issues and provide a balanced appearance between both breasts.

What Are the Steps to Prepare for Breast Augmentation with Silicone Implants with Dr. Ahmed El-Sherifa?

Before undergoing breast augmentation with silicone implants, Dr. Ahmed El-Sherifa will measure the breasts, assess their height, length, degree of sagging, and projection. He will evaluate whether the patient’s skin is thin or thick and examine the nipples—whether they are inverted or protruding, and their height. He will then determine the appropriate size of silicone implants that will ensure a natural appearance without looking artificial. The size of silicone implants ranges from 100 to 700 cubic centimeters. Additionally, he will conduct necessary clinical and laboratory tests before surgery to confirm the patient's health and suitability for the procedure.

Post-Operative Instructions from Dr. Ahmed El-Sherifa After Breast Augmentation with Silicone Implants:

After undergoing breast augmentation with silicone implants, swelling or inflammation may persist for several weeks. Dr. Ahmed El-Sherifa will advise you to follow these instructions:

  • Wear a compression bra after surgery to reduce swelling and help keep the implants in place.
  • Avoid intense physical activities or strenuous exercise that could elevate heart rate and blood pressure for at least two weeks after surgery. Refrain from lifting heavy objects or sleeping in positions that put pressure on the breasts. You can return to work a few weeks after surgery.
  • Avoid any direct trauma or excessive movement in the surgical area.
  • Properly drain surgical fluid using the drainage tubes as instructed to prevent infection at the incision site.

Complications of Breast Augmentation with Silicone Implants:

Breast augmentation with silicone implants may lead to minor bleeding, breast pain, or slight changes in nipple sensation. There is also a risk of infection or leakage from the implants.

Breast Augmentation with Silicone Implants is Not Recommended If You Have the Following Conditions:

  • If you have a tumor, infection, or breast atrophy.
  • If you suffer from severe psychological concerns or fears about breast augmentation surgery.
  • If you have abnormal blood clotting disorders.
  • If you have excessively thin skin that may not tolerate the procedure, as it could lead to severe bleeding.
